There are MANY ways to help. In March, we will post night-of volunteer opportunites (we've described some of these jobs below).

In the meantime, we have an immediate need for the following tasks:

STAFF RAFFLE COORDINATOR - 4.5-week commitment; collect and sort raffle tickets, process payments and oversee live drawing setup (Feb 28 - Mar 30).

TICKET SALES COORDINATOR - 2.5-week commitment; oversee ticket sales at parent teacher conferences and at drop-off/pick-up (Mar 19 - 29).

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR - 3.5-week commitment; direct volunteers during setup, arrange training sessions, order food for Saturday set-up volunteers, plan/organize volunteer thank you party (Mar 19 - Apr 1, volunteer party date TBD).

If you're interested, please contact Irene Ganiaris.

We will need volunteers to help setup the night before the auction and several more to finish setting up on Saturday morning/afternoon.We also need a few volunteers to fill a variety of roles during the auction. Additional information will be sent home via backpack and email in March.

Friday Night Set Up (10-15 people)
Help setup tables, cover walls and other decorations. Some heavy lifting may be required.

Saturday Set Up (30 people)
Monitor the silent auction tables to make sure our donated items are secure on the night of the auction.

At the Auction (20 people)
We'll need a few people during the auction to work alongside our BidPal staff (more information to come). Most importantly, we'll need people help locate and give winners their items, monitor exits and help us collect the digital bidding devices we'll be using that night (they're super cool! additional information to come).

After the Auction / Break Down Staff (8-10 people)
Help break down tables and store remaining auction items.

Donations
Chairs: Lisa Metcalfe & Laura Benoist
Donations. We couldn’t have an auction without them, and this is the team responsible for reaching out to past and potential donors to get them. We need confident, friendly people who are capable of shamelessly promoting our school and securing amazing donations for the auction.

Marketing Writers
Chair: Laurel Walker
Have a way with words? Help research and write descriptive copy for live and silent auction items. Excellence in writing and attention to detail are a must. This can be done anytime on any computer with Internet access, for as much time as you are able to offer from mid-January and through the day before the auction.

Merchandising
Chairs: Lori Kingsley & Gerri DiBenedetto
This group will decide how and where items will be displayed, and will direct the efforts of set-up volunteers. We need creative and organized people with a gift for making things look spectacular.

Ticket Sales
COMMITTEE CHAIR NEEDED!
Help sell admission and Staff Raffle tickets outside the school prior to the auction at drop-off and pick-up, and during Parent/Teacher conferences. We'll start selling tickets 10 days before the auction, and you can volunteer for as many hours/week as you can spare.

Food & Beverages
Chair: Lisa Verkuyl Davis
In coordination with the donations committee, this team is responsible for securing food donations and if necessary, purchasing food items for consumption during the auction. They also schedule and coordinate pick-up/delivery of food and coordinate the paid bartenders that work during the auction.

Decorations & Set-Up
Chair: Meryl Katz
Help turn the school into Club 234! This group is responsible for securing and settgin up decorations for the auction. A big part of this job is directing set-up volunteers the night before and day of the auction. If you are creative, organized and know how to throw a good party – this is the group for you!

MANY thanks for volunteering!
